kordi is a personal finance and subscription management tool operated by kordi, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company located in Sheridan, WY 82801. Contact us at hello@kordiapp.com.

2. What We Collect

When you use kordi, we collect the following information:

• Email address and name (when you register)
• Subscription names, billing dates, and costs you enter
• Subscription details discovered through email connectors you choose to connect (see below)
• Watchlist shows you track
• Payment card wallet preferences (card names only — no card numbers)
• Your kordi tier and account preferences
• General usage patterns and feature interactions

We do not collect or store full credit card numbers, CVVs, or bank account credentials.

Email connectors and AI assistants. kordi can be used alongside an email connector or AI assistant that you separately authorize (for example Gmail, Outlook, or a tool like Claude that has access to your inbox). When you choose to connect one, an AI agent acting on your behalf, within your own session, reads your inbox to identify subscription receipts, renewal notices, and trial-ending emails. Only the resulting subscription details — service name, amount, billing date, and any trial-end date — are sent to kordi. kordi does not receive, store, or retain the raw contents of your email, your inbox credentials, or messages unrelated to subscriptions. This processing only happens after you authorize the connection, and you can disconnect it at any time in the connecting tool.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide the kordi service — including your dashboard, subscription tracking, watchlist monitoring, and briefing emails. We also use anonymized, aggregated data to understand subscription trends, improve our product, and conduct market research.

4. Data Sharing

kordi does not currently sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with research or commercial partners in the future, including payment-network or financial partners. Any such sharing will be limited to aggregated, de-identified statistics — for example, total subscription counts or category-level trends across many users. It will never include your name, email address, individual subscription records, billing dates, or card-level details, and it will not contain any information that could directly identify you. We will update this policy and provide required disclosures before any such sharing begins.

We share data with our service providers (Cloudflare for infrastructure, Clerk for authentication, Resend for email, TVMaze for show data) as necessary to operate the service. We do not share your personal information with advertisers.

5. Emails and Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive operational emails including subscription alerts, billing reminders, trial-end notices, and weekly or monthly briefings based on your preferences. You can unsubscribe from marketing and reminder emails at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link in the footer of any such email. We will honor unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. You may still receive transactional messages required to operate your account (e.g. account-verification links).

6. Partner Discovery Accounts

kordi works with partner services (such as AI email assistants) that may discover your subscriptions and create a kordi account on your behalf before you have visited kordiapp.com. When this happens:

• A limited "shadow" account is created using your email address and the subscription information the partner found.
• You will immediately receive an email from kordi explaining what was set up and who initiated it, with a link to claim or delete the account.
• Until you click the verification link, your account is unverified and no personal data is shared with any third party.
• If you do not want the account, you can ignore the email or click "Delete my account" in the email — your data will be removed within 30 days.
• Claiming the account constitutes your agreement to these Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.

We collect this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing the subscription tracking service you were referred to, and to comply with your consent once you verify. If you are in the European Economic Area or UK, you may object to this processing at any time by emailing hello@kordiapp.com.

7. Social and Bump Features

The Bump feature allows you to share a QR code or link with another person to compare taste profiles and receive joint show recommendations. When you participate in a Bump session:

• The other participant can see your username (the first part of your email) and your compatibility score, but not your full email address, subscription data, or payment information.
• Recommendation results are derived from your aggregated taste profile (genre, network, and show preferences) — not raw subscription names or costs.
• Bump session data (swipe results and match scores) is retained for up to 30 days to generate a follow-up email with your recommendations.

Social matching uses automated similarity scoring to identify other kordi users with overlapping taste profiles. This does not expose your personal information to those users.

8. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Cloudflare's infrastructure, including encrypted data at rest and in transit (TLS). We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days.

9. Your Rights

You may request to view, update, or delete your data at any time by emailing hello@kordiapp.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

kordi is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us at hello@kordiapp.com and we will delete it promptly.

11. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing

kordi uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to deliver core features of the service. Specifically:

• Show recommendations — We build a taste profile from your swipe history (shows you like, dislike, or skip) and use AI-based similarity matching to personalize what appears on your Discover page.
• Show Concierge — Eligible members can ask about one title using their private taste profile. The current day's short conversation is retained only to answer up to two follow-up questions, then removed by automated cleanup. It is processed through Cloudflare Workers AI and is not used as a general analytics payload.
• Subscription intelligence — We use automated analysis to surface price changes, pause opportunities, and rotation suggestions based on your watchlist and active subscriptions.
• Social matching — We use automated similarity scoring to identify other kordi users with overlapping taste profiles for collaborative recommendations. This does not share your personal information with other users.
• Briefings and alerts — Proactive emails (trial reminders, pause nudges, weekly briefings) are generated using automated rules and AI summarization applied to your subscription data.

These systems influence what content and suggestions you see, but they do not make binding decisions about you — no credit, employment, housing, or similar consequential decisions are made using kordi's automated processing.

12. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

• Right to know — You may request a copy of the personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to delete — You may request that we delete your personal information.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing — kordi does not currently sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide a prominent "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link on our homepage before any such sale or sharing begins.
• Right to non-discrimination — You will not receive different service or pricing for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@kordiapp.com with the subject "California Privacy Request." We will respond within 45 days.

13. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the following applies to you under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent local laws:

Legal bases for processing. We process your personal data on the following bases: (a) Contract performance — to provide the subscription tracking service you signed up for; (b) Legitimate interests — to send operational emails, improve our service, and detect fraud; (c) Consent — for AI-driven profiling and marketing communications (you may withdraw consent at any time).

Your rights. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data; to object to processing; and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Data transfers. kordi is operated on Cloudflare's global infrastructure, which may process your data in the United States and other countries. Cloudflare's data transfer mechanisms comply with applicable data protection law. For more information, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Note for EU/EEA users: kordi is primarily designed for US residents. While we do not geo-block the service, we recommend that EU/EEA users verify that the service meets their needs before creating an account.

14. Affiliate Disclosure

When kordi surfaces credit card or financial product recommendations, we may receive compensation from card issuers or referral partners if you click a link or open an account. This compensation may influence which products are shown, but does not affect the terms offered to you. You are not charged for any referral. All card recommendations are informational only — see our Terms of Service for full details.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as kordi grows. We will notify you by email if material changes are made.
